My Journey to Becoming a Travel Agent
When I was 12 years old, my Uncle passed away that I spent every Christmas with since I was born. Rather than sit at home and be sad about it, we decided that year to do our first all-inclusive vacation over Christmas. It ended up kind of a mess when the Philadelphia airport had a strike, and our luggage didn’t make it to Bermuda. But nevertheless, my love affair with all-inclusive resorts began. I remember drinking so many virgin strawberry daquiris😂 We went on a different all-inclusive vacation every year for the next decade, and are happily back at it again!

Fast forward to getting married and planning my destination wedding. I spent countless hours researching, planning, and daydreaming. I had excel sheets and PowerPoints. I read every review, YouTube Video, blog post, really anything I could get my hands on that was related to my wedding. I just wanted to feel closer to it. I know what it’s like to wonder if you are making the right choice. The uncertainty could keep you awake at night.
My travel agent (I was not one at the time) had not been to the resort I picked, so she asked her network of agents their experiences and was able to happily report back it had rave reviews. What a comfort that was to hear! This is the compassion and comfort I strive to bring clients as a travel agent. I want to cut through the noise of untrustworthy reviews and overly manicured photography and give you the truth of what you can expect.
It was after my destination wedding, I realized I have a passion for planning, especially momentous events like weddings and incredible vacations and I decided to pursue becoming a travel agent. It’s the perfect blend of my passion for travel and my passion for celebrating all life has to offer.
